Antibes is one of the best known resorts on the Côte d’Azur. The resort is located along a beautiful stretch of sand and pebble beach and features a number of quays where many visiting yachts and other boats moor up. Evenings in Antibes can be spent enjoying a meal in one of the great choice of restaurants, or a drink in a café or relaxing piano bar. The Juan-les-Pins area of the resort is known for its livelier nightlife, with its variety of nightclubs, a casino and even opportunities for night time shopping. If you enjoy walking, the beautiful peninsula of the Cap d’Antibes can be reached on foot, offering great scenery.

Auribeau sur Siagne, Grasse 1 1hr Nice Time from airport
The old village of Auribeau is perched on a ridge at the entrance to the Gorges de la Siagne, and is very picturesque and typical of this delightful region. Lesser known than its famous neighbours such as Grasse and Mougins, the village is calm in the summer, even though located only a short drive from the city of Cannes. There are some very pretty streets between the old buildings, with a carefully restored 18th century church at the top of the village. From this high point, you have a terrific view of the surrounding country, including the Tanneron mountains and the plateau of Valbonne. Auribeau is half way between Cannes and Grasse and the sparkling coast is easily reached from here.

Biot, Antibes 1 1hr Nice Time from airport
Biot is a very picturesque and well known village which dates back about 2500 years. Close to the famous beaches between Antibes and Nice this village is popular with tourists and still retains much of its natural charm and its feeling of antiquity. Biot is particularly famous for the hand blown glassware made to this day in the village, typically a clear or colored transparent glass with little bubbles. Both historic and modern, a lovely village to visit.

This picturesque ancient town is set around the ruins of a medieval château, which enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and towards neighbouring Italy. The narrow cobbled streets are the perfect place to soak up the Provençal way of life. The town centre is a popular meeting place for locals, and you will also see many artists and craftsmen selling handmade gifts made from olive wood, stained glass and other materials. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore it on foot. For a day trip, why not visit the historic town of Grasse – famous for its perfume – just six kilometres away by car.

This historic town is situated in the heart of the Côte d’Azur. Frejus played a pivotal role as one of the biggest military ports of the Roman Empire, and today visitors flock to see the many historic sites here such as the amphitheatre and the fine medieval architecture. With a good selection of shops and restaurants, Frejus is also a very popular coastal resort. Just a couple of kilometres from the town, the beach is sandy and sheltered, stretching all the way round to the adjoining town of St. Raphael.

The pretty town of Garde Freinet is situated in the center of the Massif des Maures and is reached by picturesque roads winding through forests of oaks and chestnut trees. Fortified since 11th c., the village has preserved its character with its stone houses, the old street names, and of course a pretty village square. From the top of the old Fort Freinet, which gives high up views, you can appreciate the panoramic view of the hills and valleys all the way to the Alps. It is also a popular spot for artists and writers who have settled here.

Grimaud offers the the best of both worlds. Set inland from the Cote d'Azur, the village nestles amongst the pines and hills of the region, enjoying wonderful peace and tranquillity. However, Grimaud is also just a short drive to world renowned St Tropez with its beaches, nightlife, glamour, cosmopolitan atmosphere, and of course, great bars and restaurants.

La Cadiere d'Azur is a small medieval village, enjoying, as our villa does, panoramic views that go right to the shores of the Mediterranean. The local scenery is beautiful with pine forests and of course the famous vinyards of Bandol. The village is charming, with cafes and outside tables adorning the streets, with the same clock that has been telling the time and overlooking the village since 1551. Traces of its Medieval past still exist, with narrow streets and rampart walls to admire. The church of Saint André, was built in the 16th century and the bell dates back to 1450. Superb beaches and seaside resorts are close by, such as St. Cyr and Bandol, and maybe even a day trip to historic Marseille is worthwhile from here.

This attractive town enjoys a scenic position with wonderful views over the Mediterranean Sea and towards the red mountains of the Esterel Massif. The town features a fascinating old castle, whilst a marina hosts an array of visiting yachts. La Napoule also boasts some of the best beaches on the coast. Two golf courses, tennis and watersports facilities can be found in the nearby area. If you like to explore the great outdoors whilst on holiday, there are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling in the beautiful Esterel National Park nearby. Autoroute access to the town is good, offering you the chance to explore further afield along the Côte d’Azur.

Le Tignet, Grasse 1 1hr 30mins Nice Time from airport
The pretty village of Le Tignet is a small cosy village sitting just to the left of Grasse on the Cote d'Azur. A group of old and some refurbished village houses sit above the road, beside the church. A large and pretty olive grove along the back of the village adds a pretty and local touch, with the forested hill behind rising up to 680 m. To the south of the village, Le Tignet has great views, including the Lac St. Cassien and the coast at Cannes where you can see the Iles des Lérins islands. There's no commerce or shops at all in Le Tignet, local shopping is available just over 1 km up the road at Spéracèdes.

Les Issambres is a seaside residential community, sitting in the heart of the beautiful Cote d'Azur, and is located half way between Fréjus and Sainte Maxime, but belongs to the commune of Roquebrune. Les Issambres was created in 1930. In 1944, the Americans landed here in the second wave of D Day landings, on the beaches between Val-d'Esquières and Nartelle. In the Baie de Bougnon, between Les Issambres and Sainte Maxime, there's also a beach named Plage des Elephants (Elephant Beach). Les Issambres enjoys a delightful sunny location in the heart of the South of France.

A unique and well preserved destination, Mandelieu La Napoule is located in the very heart of the Cote d’Azur, half way between St Tropez and the Italian border. This lovely resort has good restaurants, bars and nightlife, and with Cannes on your doorstep, the best in designer shops are not far away. Great beaches are on offer in the area, and if you are a nature lover, the Tanneron and Esterel National Parks are offer vast expanses of woodlands as well as breathtaking views.

Mouans-Sartoux is a mondernized Medieval village, and historic and typical of the area because of this. the village is located on the flatlands between Grasse and Cannes. The old town is layed out in a symmetrical style of rectangles like that of nearby Valbonne, and is called the Lerins style. The village enjoys good access to other parts of the Cote d'Azur, and the famous beaches of the region are easily accessible from here.

Plan-de-la-Tour is a small and traditional village about 15 km northwest of St Tropez and Ste Maxime on the coast. Attractive and a little quiet, the houses and buildings in the town are all well-kept and most are nicely painted in the colorful Provençal pastels and ocres. Ancient and modern combine in this village, with a 16th-century tower and vaulted passages. Pretty doorways, corners and nooks make make a short stroll interesting around this historic site.

Roquefort Les Pins consists of a series of hamlets made up of recently built homes, located in an area near Valbonne, and concealed in the midst of a pine forest. Notre Dame is the oldest part, and there are good facilities such as shops, sports centres and tennis courts and possibly an antique dealer as well. This is an area with a wonderful Mediterranean life, benefitting from good facilities and great weather.

The charming little village of St. Aygulf in the commune of Frejus sits on the coastline between Cannes and St.Tropez, and has all the charm of this beautiful area, with sea, forest and culture. Frejus close by was a famous roman village, and St.Aygulf is a little charming place on the beach with nice villas in the little hillside behind. You can visit Frejus easily from here, as well as Cannes and St Tropez and see some of the very best of the Cote d'Azur, including the famous amphitheatre from Gallic times (1st or 2nd century), a Roman theatre and La Porte Dorée.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Cannes, the charming, unspoilt village of St Jean de l'Esterel enjoys a breathtaking mountain setting. The panorama from here is simply stunning - take one of the signposted walks and admire the dramatic red rocks and sparkling Mediterranean on the horizon, or watch climbers scale the Baou St. Jeannet rock face which stands majestically over the village. Wander the winding medieval streets and shop for local olive oil, cheese and wine, or take a drive to neighbouring Vence to browse the traditional market.

St. Raphael has risen to stardom as one of the richest towns on the Cote d'Azur. It is an important resort and has been popular with holidaymakers since the early twentieth century, hence St Raphael is known for its wonderful sandy beaches and maritime pursuits, such as diving and boat trips to local sites of interest. The beaches run from the new port of Santa Lucia to the old port in the town centre. From the gare maritime in the old port, or vieux port, you can take boat trips out to the Îles d'Hyères and St-Tropez, and the Îles de Lérins towards Cannes. Lots of other watersports are also on offer, or you could head to the Grand Casino and mix with the rich and famous.

Situated in the beautiful Esterel area, Theoule-Sur-Mer boasts majestic views over the sparkling sea, and mountains behind. The village has retained a traditional feel due to strict controls on development in the area, although a range of facilities including shops, restaurants and a supermarket are available. A beach can be found at the foot of the cliffs, which is perfect for activities, including sailing and other watersports.

The Val d'Azur residential domaine sits just outside the village of Valbonne, and is spacious, well maintained and tranquil. On the domaine you will find communal tennis courts and a large public pool, should you wish to have a day away from the villa. The historic village of Valbonne is closeby, retaining much of its 16th-century building character. In the center of the village is the pretty Place des Arcades. This central square is surrounded on all four sides by picturesque arcades and cafés.

In a mountainous, wooded setting with fabulous views down to nearby Antibes and the sea, this small village has a unique, historic character. Built in the style of a Roman fortified village, 16th Century monks designed Valbonne around a set of symmetrical rectangles, enclosed by ramparts complete with gates. Explore the labyrinth of streets and then relax in a shaded cafe in the picturesque Place des Arcades, or take a short drive out of the village for a game of tennis or golf.

The picturesque town of Vence boasts a rich and fascinating history. Formerly a Roman settlement, the town is characterised by its maze of cobbled streets, narrow alleyways, vaulted passageways and tiny squares. Historic buildings can be found in abundance, including the beautiful 11th Century Romanesque cathedral. There are plenty of pavement cafes and restaurants with terraces throughout the town, where you can sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy a coffee or meal. The village also hosts a bustling weekly market, where you can absorb the atmosphere and meet the locals. Vence is set amid beautiful countryside of citrus orchards, woodland, olive groves, and fields of lavender and rosemary.
