Costa Calida
Literally translated as ‘warm coast’, this relatively undiscovered area of Spain has the mildest climate in the country and offers visitors the chance to discover the real Spain. With two seas to choose from, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor the coastline offers impressive cliffs, wonderful deserted beaches and of white sands, lively harbours and secluded coves. Huge plains, dramatic mountain ranges, national parks with lush forests and rivers are what define the interior landscape giving visitors the chance to relax and enjoy nature or participate in the many activities on offer. Due to the various different cultures and civilizations that have settled in the region at one time or another there is a wealth of interesting historical sites to visit.
