Take in the bizarre baby-jumping festival on a Costa Calida holiday

Every year since 1620, to celebrate the Catholic festival of Corpus Christi, Murcia has seen grown men dress up as the devil to jump helpless babies in a peculiar ritual.

According to Whatsonwhen, the jumping act is known as El Colacho and it is believed that as the incarnate devils jump "they take all their evil with them and the children are cleansed".

After witnessing the bizarre ritual and touring Murcia on their day trip out, villa holiday makers may want to return back to their luxurious Costa Calida property and private pool in the Hacienda del Alamo leisure resort, which offers stunning world-class golf course under the Spanish sun.

The greens are perfectly manicured and include fabulous fairways and lovely lakes to help you unwind.
