More football stars take a "perfect" Costa Calida holiday
The football team are in the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final against Burnley at Wembley this month - with the winner set to receive a £60 million windfall due to gaining promotion to the Premier League.
In preparation the team swapped rainy Britain for the sun-soaked La Manga and its three golf courses, 28 tennis courts and luxury spa.
Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell said: "It has been ideal preparation. The resort is perfect, the pitch is perfect and the weather is perfect we just hope we can follow it up with the perfect result at Wembley."
La Manga is home to eight international-standard grass pitches - which may be eight of the reasons why so many footballing superstars are attracted to the resort.
What is more, holiday makers can rub shoulders with such internationals by renting a family villa there.
