La Manga attracts international stars
The Finnish coach Markku Kanerva has named 19 players who ply their trade all over Europe in his 19-man training camp in La Manga, Uefa.com has revealed.
Mr Kanerva may have selected La Manga as the place to prepare for his assault on the Uefa European Under-21 Championship in June because of its first-class facilities, like many top stars do.
It is one of the most well-known and prestigious resorts in the world and you could rent a villa there and rub shoulders with sporting superstars or be behind them as they play on one of its three championship-standard golf courses.
As part of the preparations, the team has already taken on Sweden in La Manga and is lining up a game against local side FC Cartagena.
