Grab yourself a late deal >'Shop until you drop' on a Costa Calida holiday
Holiday makers who like to soak up the sun and bag a bargain on their Costa Calida break could take their pick from a whole host of fashion retailers and other outlets, it has been suggested.
Speaking to Round Town News, a spokesperson for the local council said there is a "great sense" of anticipation and expectancy in the region.
The representative said the new commercial centre will "change the present concept of the town and will prove more dynamic than any project that we have had before".
"It will also bring a renewed and attractive image to the town centre," he added.
Mazarron is also home to an archaeological museum that includes the remains of a Roman fish salting factory that dates back to the 4th and 5th centuries, which could also be a great place to visit for those renting a villa in the region.
