The museum houses the works of sculptor Francisco Salzillo - a name which is intertwined with the history of the colourful city of Murcia.
Salzillo is renowned across Spain and is considered to be its greatest 18th century sculptor for his highly humanised religious works of art that appeal to a wide audience.
Much of his best work can be found at the museum, including the Prayers on the Mount of Olives and a minute statue of the infant Jesus, which is just seven centimetres tall.
The stunning Mar Menor Golf Resort could also be considered to be a work of art with its fantastic location in the middle of the Murcian countryside - but it is just over 30 minutes drive for the bustling city centre and easily within reach of Costa Calida's coastline.
