Why not seek out Spanish holiday villas this Easter?
Parents looking to treat their children to an overseas getaway this Easter have been told of the reason to consider Spanish destinations, such as villas in Costa Blanca.
A Spanish Tourist Office spokesman has acknowledged that the European country celebrates the Easter period "with a great deal of emotion".
Such sites to be seen include streets being filled with the banging of drums, colourful flowers and religious sculptures throughout the day and night.
"People spending Easter [in Spain] can expect a great scenario full of processions and events where an environment of respect and penance are present among the streets," the spokesman noted.
He went on to urge Brits to seek out Alicante villas, as appealing processions like La Santa Cena and Hermandad de la Santa Cruz occur here over the Easter break.
There are plenty of other attractive reasons to stay in Alicante, such as Old Town locations and a stunning city beach, all bathed in summer temperatures averaging a sizzling 32 degrees C.
