Why not safari in Spain?
The Rio Safari Elche could offer fun for all the family and the opportunity to meet a whole host of wild animals and birds, with the opportunity to feed some too.
According to travel writer Steve Locke of Article Alley, one of the most "unique" parts of the whole experience is the train ride through the park which offers some "great photo opportunities".
Kids may also love being able to feed the animals, including the giant but graceful giraffe.
Other animals found at the park include buffalo, crocodiles, camels, lions, tigers, monkeys, prairie dogs, a hippo, an elephant and many more.
Those renting a villa in the sanctuary that is the resort of Quesada, Torrevieja, will find that Elche and its palm groves and safari are just a short drive away.
