Visit one of Europe's top theme parks on a Costa Blanca villa holiday
The Terra Mitica attraction featured in a list compiled by journalist Fred Mawer for the Independent newspaper.
He said Terra Mitica, which is close to the inland village of La Nucia, is divided into several different zones.
Each of these zones represent a different country or city, with Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and the Mediterranean islands all covered.
"Top rides include the Magnus Colossus - claimed to be Europe's longest wooden rollercoaster - and the Flight of the Phoenix, a 170-foot free-fall drop," wrote Mr Mawer.
He also pointed out that a new area of the park - the Atalaya Adventure Park - has now been opened and features rope bridges and zip lines.
Holiday makers hoping to spend a day at Terra Mitica could rent a Costa Blanca villa at nearby La Nucia.
The village is also eight kilometres from the charming town of Altea, which could be a great place for a day trip.
