Travellers investing in Costa Blanca holidays
Statistics from the Ministry for Industry and Tourism indicate that foreign tourists on Costa Blanca holidays spent six per cent more in the region between January and April of this year than they did over the same period last year.
The difference is equal to some 900 million (£715 million), with the average tourist investing some 835 in the region, reports Typically Spanish.
Paul Bradley, spokesperson for the Spanish Property Owners Guild, recently observed that Costa Blanca holidays and other Spanish breaks remind British travellers of a golden age.
The free-and-easy atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant for families, Mr Bradley said.
Meanwhile, a new study from the Post Office suggests that savings could be made for motorists heading on a Costa Blanca holiday.
Spain is among the best-value destinations in the euro zone for petrol, the organisation found.
