Survey reveals Spain is number 1 expat destination
The results of a new survey may inspire Brits to enjoy holidays to Spain this summer, as the country has been named the happiest expat destination.
Research carried out by Lloyds TSB revealed the high quality of life and reasonable cost of living has helped Spain take the number one spot in the top ten places to relocate to.
Over three-quarters (75.9 per cent) of those who now live in the nation claim to be happier than they were in the UK.
Spending time in a villa rental in Spain could help British holiday makers to experience some of the attractive qualities listed by expats.
Coming in ahead of Canada and Germany, the country was noted for its positive outdoor lifestyle, warm, sunny climate and traditional family values.
It was recently noted in the Post Office's annual Holiday Money Report that Spain is one of the best value destinations for Brits.
