Spain and Greece both have plenty of attractions
At this time of year, Brits seeking a holiday are likely to be looking for somewhere hot, but some may be stuck between a cheap villa holiday in Spain and a Crete holiday.
Spain has long been a favourite destination among Brits, but Crete is steadily increasing in popularity as tourists learn of its numerous attractions.
According to a writer on iWantSun.co.uk, even if you have been to Spain numerous times before, there is always lots more to see and do.
The climate is a particular draw, with the temperate climbing to extremely high points during the summer months, and people who go in search of sun, sea and sand will certainly be pleased.
However, the website notes that Greece is a "land of mystery and legend", where there is plenty of history to be discovered, but visitors can merely relax on a beach if that is the sort of holiday they are seeking
