Shop 'til you drop in Denia
According to the town's official tourism website, a number of markets are held in the town where tourists could find some top bargains.
Denia Municipal Market is open all morning from Monday to Saturday and sells fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and bakery goods.
Holiday makers can also get their hands on some great seafood at the Fish Exchange, where lobster, calamari and red prawns can be purchased fresh off the fishing boats as they pull into the harbour.
Families could take their shopping back to their villas and prepare their own authentic Spanish meals to enjoy with a glass of fine wine.
For souvenirs and other treats, there is a weekly market held on Monday mornings in Denia's Torrecremada Esplanade, offering clothing, footwear and other goods.
The Antiquities Flea Market is held every Friday morning in the same place, while a summer market is open every day at the Cervantes Esplanade selling jewellery, leather goods, paintings and other handicrafts.
Families can rent a Costa Blanca villa in Denia to make sure they catch all of the best bargains.
From here, holiday makers can also take a day trip to the Balearic islands by ferry or visit Alicante by train.
