Rent a Costa Blanca villa before buying, Brits urged
Renting a Costa Blanca villa could be a smart move for Brits considering buying a property in the region.
According to the Spanish Property Owners Guild, it makes sense for those considering becoming expatriates to try before they buy in order to make sure the country is actually to their suiting.
Paul Bradley, a spokesperson for the group, which provides English-speaking services in the country, said many Brits purchase properties in Spain before properly considering what it means to grow old in the country.
"Rent first, see if you like it in the long-term," he advised.
"Then with increasing local knowledge you will be more qualified to make a more informed long-term decision."
Now is the time to rent a Costa Blanca villa, with the area recently being added to the Google Street View service, meaning holiday makers and prospective buyers can get a real feel for the area before heading there.
As well as checking out how to get to the Costa Blanca's main attractions, Google users will also be able to get a feel for some of its restaurants and bars ahead of time.
