Rent a Costa Blanca villa and tee off in the sun
There are a number of golf courses for those on Costa Blanca villa holidays to sample, but the Levante has been singled out as one of the best.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, it is part of the Villaitana Wellness Golf and Business Resort near Benidorm.
In an article for the Daily Express, travel journalist Tracey Boles praised the course and its surrounding scenery.
"If ever there was an inspirational place to brush up on my golf swing, I've found it," she wrote.
Ms Boles said Levante, which is a par 72, takes around four to five hours to complete and is great for seasoned players.
However, there is also some expert tuition on hand from golfing pros for those who need the practice.
Facilities at the course include a club house with terraces overlooking the sea, a cafeteria and a pro shop, as well as a driving range and golf school.
Ms Boles said there is also plenty on offer on the Costa Blanca for those who don't play golf, or for those who simply need a break from the game, including sandy beaches, boat trips and theme parks.
Those renting Costa Blanca villas in La Nucia will be able to drive to the Levante golf course easily, as it is just a short distance away.
The inland village is great for those who enjoy a peaceful holiday, with a small selection of restaurants and bars. Altea, with its unique Spanish charm, is just eight kilometres away.
