Rent a Costa Blanca villa and get bowled over in Alicante
Sports fans will find no end of things to do on a Costa Blanca holiday, but one activity they may not have thought of is lawn bowling.
According to Alicante-City-Insiders-Guide.com, there are a number of lawn bowling clubs in Alicante offering friendly games for tourists.
The website points out that bowling in and around the city is very well organised and the lawns are impeccably manicured.
In Torrevieja, holiday makers can head to one of four bowling clubs - Emerald Isle, La Siesta, San Luis and San Miguel.
For those renting Costa Blanca villas further north, Calpe has the Paraiso Mar Bowls Club, while Javea is home to Javea Green.
And of course Benidorm is not without its lawn bowling hotspots - tourists have a number to choose from near this particular resort.
Calpe may be a great place for lawn bowling fans to stay, as Javea, Benidorm and Alicante itself are all within easy driving distance.
Torrevieja is also accessible by car for those who fancy a slightly longer journey.
Calpe itself has a vast array of bars, restaurants and other amenities, making it a great choice for families.
