Prepare for a Costa Blanca villa holiday at Taste of Spain

Britons planning Costa Blanca villa holidays this year will be offered a sample of some of the culinary and cultural experiences they can look forward to in Spain at a special festival due to take place in London.

People living in the capital and surrounding areas should head to Regent Street on June 6th to attend A Taste of Spain, which is organised by the European country's tourist office.

Regent Street will be closed to traffic for the festival, which will feature everything from giant paellas and flamenco dancing to medieval food markets and interactive sports challenges.

Highlights will include the Hall of Spain, which will celebrate 80 years of Spanish sporting history.

People planning to sample some local cuisine during a Costa Blanca villa holiday can warm up their taste buds at the festival by trying dishes such as gazpacho, a traditional tomato-based soup.

There will also be live music from Spanish guitarist Paco Fernandez, virtual horse riding, face painting and more entertainment on offer.

Holidays to Spain were the most popular option among Brits heading abroad last year, with more than 13 million people visiting the country.
