People taking holidays to Alicante 'may consider moving there after'
Individuals who are preparing to buy property in Spain, perhaps after being impressed following a stay in Costa Blanca villas, have plenty of destinations to choose from.
Mallorca-based journalist and writer Anna Nicholas pointed out that there are resorts to suit any mood, "either to be by the sea, in the mountains, countryside or in a thriving town".
For those seeking out popular expat locations, the expert acknowledged that Costa Brava, Malaga and Alicante are all seen as "quite British zones".
"However, for those who want to get away from predominantly British areas, Catalonia offers some idyllic mountain villages, Asturias and Cantabria are verdant and have spectacular mountains," Ms Nicholas added.
Ben Curtis, director of NotesinSpanish.com, was also keen to recommend that people consider relocating to Spain.
He noted that the country's expat life is "great", thanks in part to appealing weather conditions all year round, friendly locals and tasty food treats.
