MotoGP makes a great day out on Costa Blanca holidays

Motorcycle fans staying in Costa Blanca villas this October have the chance to experience the dramatic finale of the MotoGP season.

The thrilling last race of the popular motorbike championship will take place at the Ricardo Tormo circuit near Valencia over the weekend of 24-26 Oct 08.

Just a one-and-a-half hour drive from the popular coastal resorts of Javea and Denia, this exciting event gives holidaymakers the chance to combine a relaxing Costa Blanca holiday with a day or two of world-class motorsport.

On the challenging track, riders can reach speeds of up to 200 kilometres per hour as they attempt to end the season in winning fashion.

MotoGP is extremely popular in Spain, which hosts three of the championship’s 18 races. Local fans regularly turn up in numbers to show their support for Spanish riders, including crowd favourite Dani Pedrosa.

Each race attracts spectators from all over Europe, and British visitors enjoying their Costa Blanca holidays may be interested in following the fortunes of fellow countryman James Toseland - winner of the 2007 World Superbike Championship.
