Medieval fair on a Costa Blanca holiday

Taking place in June in the Old Quarter of Alicante is the medieval market which usually begins after the Saint John's Bonfires celebration.

Stands selling all types of arts and crafts from medieval times give holiday makers the perfect chance to purchase a gift for friends and family back home while traditional trades are demonstrated.

Ironwork, pottery, glassmaking and others can all be expected at the lively event.

Entertainment comes in the form of musicians, dancers, jugglers and many more giving visitors a real taste of a Spanish medieval experience.

As well as enjoying the cultural events in the Costa Blanca, travellers can also enjoy a warm and sunny Mediterranean climate and delicious Spanish food such as paella.
