Fans of cinema will be eagerly awaiting the release of 'Manolete' which depicts the story of Manuel Rodriguez Sanchez, the legendary bull fighter.
His last day in Linares is where the film begins and it goes back through time telling the love story of Manolete, played by Adrien Brody, and Lupe Sino played by Penelope Cruz.
The two stars are due to visit Alicante in November, according to typicallyspanish.com for a special showing of the film which was partly shot in the area.
Manolete, as he was known, was born in 1917 in Cordoba and became a Spanish bullfighter, and the film tells the story of the day of his death and some of the scenes were filmed on the Costa Blanca in Alicante.
The legendary bullfighter died when he was gorged in his right leg by a bull as he tried to kill the fifth bull of the day at an event in 1947, the bull's name was Islero.
General Francisco Franco, the ruler of Spain, then ordered three days of "national mourning" to remember the man, who was called out of retirement by the up and coming Luis Miguel Dominguin the second.
