Manchester City stars to appear at Javea

Those who rent a villa in Javea will be able to cheer on the local team's annual under-20 tournament, in which Manchester City, Valencia, Cagliara, and Levante will take part, Euro Weekly news has revealed.

CD Javea President Mark Catlin said he has worked hard to make this an "end-of-season lift" for the club and this year's event "promises to be even better" than ever.

"Manchester City, for me, are the rock on which the event has been built and this is the fourth season in succession that they have attended," he added.

Holiday makers staying in Javea can find themselves right at the heart of the action and in a sprawling town that boasts not one, but two beaches.

After watching one of the many hard-fought football games, visitors to the Costa Blanca could venture into the town centre – which comes alive at night with street performers, market stalls, bars and restaurants.
