Las Falls in Denia
Paper mache dolls are made by locals, often in the shape of traditional figures or famous people and form part of the celebration.
The home-made dolls are paraded through the streets and are then placed on bonfires to burn, all amid a big Spanish party.
Fireworks and bonfires adorn the festival that is thought to have evolved from pagan rituals that celebrated the coming of spring.
Visitors and locals join together to celebrate the event which is a big party with lots of entertainment and it will certainly offer not just a glimpse into the history of the region, but also a chance to enjoy one of the wildest festivals the area has to offer.
Denia is a town full of personality and visitors will find themselves made welcome in the inviting town surroundings.
While staying in a villa, visitors can also experience a large sea front which is perfect for sun bathing and relaxing as well as having safe swimming areas.
