The Costa Blanca town of L'Alfas del Pi enjoys a ten-day film festival every July.
This year, held from July 7th onwards, the L'Alfas del Pi film festival offers visitors the opportunity to see some less well-known features, culminating in the all-important awards ceremony.
It may not be as glamorous as Cannes, but this film festival is nonetheless a good opportunity to see some renowned films and also to discover a bit more about Spanish film culture. Classic Spanish films are always a favourite of the film buffs and fans who arrive here every year for the event.
However, there is a truly international flavour to the festival, with films arriving from around the world. Past editions have seen films from France, Germany, the US and Japan, to name but a few.
What really marks out this film festival, however, is the various other activities that take place over the course of the event. Rather than simply being about the films, the festival enjoys a wide range of exhibitions and concerts to provide something for everyone.
