Javea seafront development 'pushed back'
A planned overhaul which would have seen people staying in Costa Blanca villas witnessing a new-look seafront in Javea has been postponed until later this year.
Plans were originally in place for the popular Spanish holiday destination's Arenal seafront to be overhauled in the months ahead.
The work was set to begin in April, a date which would mean that the development would clash with the busy summer holiday period.
However, Javea's mayor Jose Chulvi has since declared that the red tape surrounding the development is taking longer to process than first thought.
In order to avoid a negative impact on tourism figures, Mr Chulvi stated that the work has been put back until the autumn months.
Javea is popular with many holiday makers, thanks to its setting being nestled under the Montgo mountain and featuring the old town of Javea Pueblo, the port area of Javea Puerto and the coastline of Playa de Arenal within a short distance of one another.
