People could soon see improvements made to holiday villas in Costa Blanca based around the town of Javea.
Over the past few years, rules have been in place in the area which meant that homeowners, including those renting out villas, were not able to make alterations to fix such issues as a storm-damaged roof, Costa Blanca News reported.
Furthermore, people who have bought land to create their own dream property have not being able to get their plans off the ground.
However, this could now be changing due to Pere Sapena, the new councillor for town planning in Javea, granting permission to allow for "small works" to be carried out.
Such rules are set to come into effect in the near future and will allow people in the destination to do such tasks as building a patio onto their homes.
There are plenty of reasons to visit Costa Blanca villas in Javea, including catching some sun rays on the artificial sands of the Arenal beach and exploring the magnificent monument of the Church of San Bartolome.
