Holiday makers 'flock' to Costa Blanca

A recent study carried out by Spain's Agency for Mediation, Integrity and Social Coexistence found that the Costa Blanca is the most visited part of the Alicante region.

Resorts such as Benidorm, Altea, Calpe and Torrevieja proved particularly popular, while inland areas failed to attract as many visitors, Euro Weekly reported.

Those visiting the Calpe area, for example, will find plenty to keep them occupied, with two pristine beaches and a picturesque yacht harbour, as well as an excellent golf club.

The town is also home to a number of cultural attractions including the Iglesia Antigua and the church Senora de las Nieves, along with the famous Penon de lfach rock, which reigns over the town.
