Grab yourself a late deal >GfK Ascent: Many people looking for holidays to Spain
Many Brits seem to be planning on booking up villas in Spain over the coming months, according to new research.
GfK Ascent, a market research company, has found that those taking up holidays in the country have increased by up to 32 per cent.
When it comes to those looking at destinations, such as villas in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Mainland Spain, enquires have risen by 59 per cent, compared to February and March 2010.
Some of the most sought after getaways in the European country include in traditional Spanish Costas and the Canary Islands.
Alex Saint, chief executive of dealchecker.co.uk, commented: "Spain continues to lead the field as a popular holiday destination, due to its all-year-round appeal, and its warm weather, attractions, great hotels and beaches."
Those who are looking into booking last-minute villas in Costa Blanca may want to chose between March 15th and 19th, when Valencia celebrates the festival of Las Fallas.
According to a Daily Telegraph author, the event is "the loudest, most riotous and possibly the most hazardous festival in Europe".
