Follow Spanish example by booking Costa Blanca holiday

British tourists planning to visit Spain may choose to trust the knowledge of their Spanish counterparts by booking a holiday on the Costa Blanca.

That is because the region, on the country's sun-kissed east coast, was the favourite destination for Spaniards over the summer, reports Euro News Weekly.

Affordable prices, value for money and beautiful weather could all be factors behind the success of the Costa Blanca.

The online publication notes the decision of many local businesses to drop prices has paid off, with hotels enjoying high occupancy rates.

And there could be plenty more holiday makers who are contributing to the thriving area by staying in a villa on the Costa Blanca.

A surge in last-minute bookings is thought to have propelled the coast ahead of Andalucia in the race to be Spain's most-visited spot by natives.

The popularity of the Costa Blanca may be set to rise further in the coming years, after Paramount Pictures recently confirmed it is to build a large US-style theme park in the region.
