Costa Blanca holidays remain one of the most popular options for Brits heading abroad, according to statistics from flight search engine Skyscanner.
The company released a report covering the month of February, which showed that Alicante - the main gateway to the Costa Blanca for foreign visitors - attracted the second highest number of online searches.
Malaga on Spain's Costa del Sol topped the list, while Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca also featured in the top five.
Faro in Portugal was ranked fourth, highlighting the popularity of Algarve holidays among Britons.
Barry Smith, Skyscanner's co-founder and development director, said that Spain is "still looking strong" on the basis of the most recent statistics.
He also pointed out that Spanish destinations occupied four of the top five positions in February despite the fact that the country has "lost a little ground" recently.
Other locations in the company's list of the top 50 flight searches include Dalaman in Turkey, Paphos in Cyprus and Nice in the south of France.
