Flamenco Festival comes to the Costa Blanca

Round Town News has reported Raquel Pena and her dance company are set to deliver a touch of magic to the region thanks to their Flamenco spectacular.

It is said to offer a "profusion of new routines and authentic costumes of the traditional Spanish dance" and will take place on May 24th at the Teatro Capitol in Rojales.

Flamenco Festival will showcase 11 new routines and boasts the talents of 14 dancers from around Europe, according to the newspaper.

"A section is dedicated to audience favourites, whilst Raquel will make a cameo appearance with an amazing new castanet solo piece," it added.

Among the dancers is British-born Jay Markwic, who starred in Britain's Got Talent and strutted his stuff in front of Simon Cowell et al.

The event could provide the ideal evening's entertainment for holiday makers with a hire car who want to explore all the amusements on offer in the region – from Calpe to Torrevieja.
