Explore a new park on a Costa Blanca villa holiday

People planning to venture away from the beaches and visit some lesser-known attractions during a Costa Blanca villa holiday this year might be interested in seeing a new park in Benijofar.

The green area was officially opened for recreational purposes by the mayor Daniel Padilla recently, Euro Weekly News reported.

Local people were invited to come up with a title for the new park and decided to name it in honour of the famous local poet Miguel Hernandez to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth.

Mr Padilla revealed that the area has been transformed from an isolated piece of land into an outdoor area that can accommodate local families and visitors.

People planning to visit the location during a Costa Blanca villa holiday can make use of a picnic site and admire some of the diverse plant and flower life on view.

Holiday makers can visit Benijofar and several other small towns in eastern Spain by renting villas in Moraira, Denia, Javea and other popular destinations and planning day trips.
