Enjoy the 'gorgeous' beaches of Javea on a Costa Blanca holiday

Beach lovers heading off on Costa Blanca villa holidays should consider staying in the town of Javea, as it boasts some "gorgeous" coastal areas.

According to an article in In2town magazine, Javea is a small place that makes a nice retreat from some of the larger tourist-orientated towns in Spain.

Located on a promontory, its beaches are tucked into small bays and are great for those who love to lie back and chill out on the sand.

The town itself is separated into two areas - the seaside and the harbour.

Holiday makers could therefore spend their morning strolling around the harbour and watching the boats come and go, before heading off to the beach for the afternoon.

To the north of Javea, tourists can find the Montgo Natural Park, which could make for a great day trip.

"Here, you can the visit the historic windmills and get lovely views over the bay of Javea," the article states.

"There is plenty of nature to explore with trails and lots of scenery in the park."

Families can rent their own Costa Blanca villas in Javea, which are located in the countryside slightly away from the main resort.

This means holiday makers can enjoy the best of both worlds - taking in the inland scenery before heading to the coast.
