Enjoy a pint on a Costa Blanca holiday
A refreshing pint is almost a requisite on a Costa Blanca holiday and those visiting in October will really be able to indulge.
From the 9th to the 12th, the annual Beer Festival will be taking place in Calpe, giving tourists an opportunity to sample a variety of brews.
This event is organised by the town's German community and is similar to the Oktoberfest that takes place every year in their home country.
As well as ale, it will also feature live music, so holiday makers in Calpe at the time can join in the celebrations.
Calpe is a popular resort that has much to offer for families taking Costa Blanca villa holidays, including two beautiful Blue Flag beaches.
Its harbour is home to numerous restaurants where tourists can sample freshly-caught seafood and Spanish specialities while enjoying the beer.
The resort is around an hour from Alicante, which may make a great day trip, while Altea, Javea and Denia are also close by for those who want to explore the Costa Blanca.
