Enjoy a Costa Blanca holiday from a different perspective

Those looking to do something a little different on their Costa Blanca villa holiday could take a hot air balloon ride over Alicante.

According to Alicante-City-Insiders-Guide.com, this is one of the most enjoyable ways to discover the area and its dramatic coastline.

The website said ballooning trips are available from the town of Elche, which is just 15 minutes from Alicante by car.

Flights last for around an hour and offer some amazing photo opportunities as they take tourists over the city with its impressive architecture.

The balloons then continue along the coast and into the mountains, where holiday makers can take in the beauty of the Costa Blanca scenery.

Alicante-City-Insiders-Guide.com points out that Elche itself is an interesting place to visit, boasting friendly hospitality and plenty of delicious food.

Those renting Costa Blanca villas in La Nucia will be able to drive to Elche in around an hour, where they explore the town before embarking on their balloon flight.

La Nucia is an inland village eight kilometres from Alicante that has retained much of its old Spanish charm and hosts its own weekly flea market.
