Enjoy Alicante's music festival on a Costa Blanca holiday
Costa Blanca holiday makers looking for something to do this September may want to check out the International Contemporary Music Festival in Alicante.
The event runs from September 16th to 25th and celebrates a wide variety of modern music through a host of performances.
Organised by the Centre for the Promotion of Contemporary Music, the festival often sees musicians bring instruments that have been created just for the event.
Some of the highlights of this year's programme include performances by the Spanish National Youth Orchestra and the Klangforum Wien, which is an Austrian chamber orchestra.
Visitors will also be able to take in a host of new musical styles while in Alicante for the International Contemporary Music Festival.
Britons staying in a Costa Blanca villa can easily get to Alicante from popular holiday destinations such as La Marina and La Nucia.
Travellers looking to explore some of Alicante's other attractions while in the area may want to check out its numerous golf courses, the Castle of Santa Barbara and the Explanada de Espana, a popular meeting place for locals.
