Spain has seen an increase in the number of tourists visiting the country during the first few months of the year, including those seeking out Costa Blanca villas.
According to new data released by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the European nation has welcomed nine million international guests onto its shores between January and March of this year.
This is a 2.9 per cent rise compared to the number of tourists who chose to holiday in Spain during the same period in 2010.
Once again, Brits have taken up the majority of the tourist figures, with 1.8 million people exploring the country during the three-month gap.
With the opening of the new terminal at Alicante airport in Costa Blanca and the introduction of the Corvera International travel hub in Murcia later this year, there are plenty of other opportunities opening up for Brits to visit Spain in 2011.
Those opting to stay in villas in Costa Blanca have recently been advised by a TravelBite.co.uk writer to take a trip to Denia, as the town is ideal for those who "want to learn more about Spanish culture".
