Costa Blanca villas: Alicante 'an ideal getaway'

Holiday makers have been advised where to visit once they snap up Costa Blanca villas around the resort of Alicante.

A writer at TravelBite.co.uk believes that "Alicante is the ideal holiday destination, boasting sun, sea, sand and plenty of attractions to keep you busy".

They explained that the Costa Blanca location is home to some attractive historical sites, such as Santa Barbara's fortress.

While there, tourists will be able to check out structures that were first erected in the tenth century and see astounding views atop Benacantil Mountain, the destination of the site.

Other attractions that the writer picked out to occupants of holiday villas in Alicante included the resort's many museums and "the awe-inspiring sight of the Gothic Basilica of Santa Maria".

The Spanish east coast looks to have prepared itself for an influx of tourists this year, having recently opened a new terminal at Alicante airport to allow for more people to pass through.
