Costa Blanca to become more accessible from Glasgow

Travelling to a luxury villa in Costa Blanca is about to become much easier with the launch of a new Jet2 service from Glasgow airport.

The low-cost carrier has recently announced it will be making the Scottish travel hub its eighth base in the UK and will be launching a new service to the Spanish region.

From March 31st, the carrier will be operating a flights to the airport in Alicante, which is ideally located to travel to Costa Blanca Villas.

Ian Doubtfire, Jet2's managing director, told the Evening Times, the carrier's services to Spain and Cyprus have already proved popular.

"We will offer people a great choice of holiday destinations, low fares, a generous 22kg baggage allowance, a loyalty scheme, allocated seating on all flights and convenient flight times," Mr Doutfire added.

The Costa Blanca is one of the most popular regions of Spain for holiday makers, thanks to its sandy beaches and beautiful coastline, and is home to great resorts like Torrevieja and Villamartin.
