Costa Blanca 'is this year's hot holiday destination'

Those considering staying in a family villa in Costa Blanca this year may be interested to know that it is being tipped as this year's "hot holiday destination".

According to a new report, Spain is witnessing a renaissance as a location for holiday makers, with industry commentators claiming it will be popular in 2011.

Airline Jet2.com has added new services to Alicante as a result of this growing demand, noting that Costa Blanca offers good beaches and nightlife.

The company praises "the golden soft sand beaches" and notes the region is a popular destination with the rich and famous, who visit its "luxury lounge bars with open fronts".

It also noted that following two difficult years for a lot of people in the UK, many are not prepared to sacrifice their holidays and may be seeking villa rental in Spain as a result.

Situated on the east coast of Spain, Costa Blanca attracts millions of people each year, with its sunshine, miles of sandy beaches, pretty villages, mountains and busy towns.
