Costa Blanca holidays 'tantalising' after summer washout

The temptation to take a Costa Blanca holiday many prove particularly tantalising after the disappointing British summer, it has been claimed.

According to In2town magazine, many families have been left disappointed after the barbecue summer that was forecast failed to materialise.

But it states that the town of Javea on the Costa Blanca could be an ideal place to enjoy some last minute autumn sunshine as the dark nights creep in.

It points out that Javea is protected by the nearby Mount Montgo, so enjoys sunny days for the majority of the year. Even in the winter months, temperatures rarely drop below 15 degrees C.

"The Javea holiday villa is an ideal location for lovers of flora and fauna, where the short distance trails through the national park of Montgo can get you close to nature at its very best," the publication states.

There are also eight golf courses within an hour's drive of Javea, while numerous family attractions such as zoos and theme parks are also close by.

And for those who enjoy relaxing on the beach, the Blue Flag rated Arenal beach is just five minutes away by car.

Costa Blanca villas are available to rent in Javea, which also boasts an historic old town, a harbour and a lively fish market.
