Costa Blanca holidays 'still a hit with Brits'

According to Global Edge's analysis of web searches for international properties, five of the top ten most popular destinations with UK internet users are in Spain, with further Spanish locations sprinkled across the 103 most-wanted places in the world.

"Searches for Spain and regions and towns within it dominate the results," observes the report.

And Costa Blanca holidays and houses are among the most popular for UK searchers, the analysis reveals.

Kayte Williams, holidays manager at Travelsupermarket.com, recently commented that a growing number of UK tourists are choosing to book their holidays on the internet.

Web holiday booking resources offer convenience, comfort and access to a wealth of information, Ms Williams ventured.

Meanwhile, recent Ciao Surveys research has discovered that 58 per cent of people prefer to book their holidays online.
