Costa Blanca holidays 'hotting up'
A long-term forecast published this week by the Centro de Estudios Ambientales del Mediterraneo suggests that the forthcoming fortnight could bathe Costa Blanca holiday makers in high temperatures, reports the Costa Blanca News.
The region's sunny climate may be one of its top attractions for Brits, who could view a Costa Blanca villa as a sanctuary against the UK's changeable weather.
Plans should be easier to stick to in the Spanish region, as the report notes that extreme weather changes are not expected during the summer.
Maria Jose Estrella, head of Ceam, reportedly revealed that July is to see "very hot weather", which is expected to cool off in August.
This week, the Javea area of Costa Blanca celebrates the end of the two weeks of the celebration that are the fiestas of San Juan.
