Costa Blanca holidays 'as popular as ever'
A recent report in the Costa Blanca news suggested that visitor numbers for the are have been better than expected this year, with British holiday makers keen to escape the miserable weather at home.
Regional tourism chief Angelica Such, told the publication that the number of foreign visitors taking Costa Blanca holidays this summer was up four per cent on the same period in 2007.
She also noted that the number of UK visitors was on the increase, reporting a 1.2 per cent rise in holiday makers, compared to the previous summer.
In other news, the publication also reported that Spain saw major improvements in road safety levels this summer.
Figures from the DGT traffic department, suggested that accidents were at their lowest level in over 40 years, with roads reported to be less congested than in previous summers.
