Costa Blanca holiday spot 'a British favourite'

In a recent poll of UK travellers by PriceRunner, the destination came fifth in a list of the top 20 urban centres in the continent, in news that may be of interest to people booking Costa Blanca holidays.

Matthias Berg, managing director of Price Runner, highlighted that Europe can still provide cost-effective holidays for Brits currently battling the credit crunch.

He commented: "Let's not forget that there are cities within the eurozone that offer good value for money too - you just need to shop around."

Indeed, cities in Spain accounted for some 40 per cent of the top 20 destinations in Europe for travelling Brits.

People booking a Costa Blanca villa break may be interested in Quesada in Torrevieja, which is an easy drive from Alicante and features a golf course, an aqua park and an array of bars and restaurants.
