Costa Blanca holiday hub to get new green corridor
According to Typically Spanish, mayor Luis Diaz Alperi has announced that a new route will link parks in the city to a new green patch, in news that may be of interest to Costa Blanca holiday fans.
With a 26 million (£21 million) budget, the project will see a 15 km stretch created through Orgegia and Playa San Juan, to link parks in these areas to a new green area at Rabassa, measuring one million square metres.
Alicante may be familiar to tourists who have enjoyed Costa Blanca villa holidays in areas such as La Marina, situated some 20 minutes away from its airport by car.
Foreign travellers enjoying Costa Blanca holidays spent six per cent more between January and April 2008 than they did in 2007, new figures from the Ministry for Industry and Tourism and cited by Typically Spanish suggest.
