Colourful graffiti show lights up Costa Blanca
There were 70 participants taking place in the festival coming from all over Spain to compete.
According to the Costa Blanca Leader, the weekend was relaxed and fun and the participants painted to hip-hop music.
Holidaymakers in the area would have been surprised to witness the slightly unusual event but it is testament to the ever-changing and vibrant culture of Spain.
According to the paper, works of art that wouldn't look out of place in most galleries were on display and inspiration was taken from subjects ranging from revolutionary heroes and animals.
Visiting the Costa Blanca will give tourists the chance to experience not only modern but more traditional cultures as well.
Santiago de la Ribera has grown from a small fishing village into popular promenade but still maintains its Spanish style.
