Book a Costa Blanca holiday and explore the streets before you go

Families booking Costa Blanca villa holidays will soon be able to explore their resort before they set foot on the plane.

Street-level images of the Spanish region are being launched on Google Street View, allowing holiday makers to take a look at where they will be staying.

In addition to checking out driving and walking routes to key attractions, they will also be able to choose some of the restaurants they wish to try or the bars they want to visit.

A Google spokesperson told the Sun newspaper that Street View in Spain means tourists can "pick the perfect spot for a cold beer or throw down their beach towel ahead of the rest before they get there".

According to Typically Spanish, special attention has been given to Spain's historical monuments, so planning day trips will also be easier.

It may be a good idea for those renting Costa Blanca villas in Calpe to look at Google Street View prior to their holiday.

The popular resort is set either side of a large rock formation, with the harbour at one end and the resort centre at the other.

Checking out the streets first means families will not have to spend too much time getting to know the area and can head straight to the places they most want to go.
