Book a Costa Blanca holiday and enjoy excellent fishing

Fishing is a popular activity on the Costa Blanca and those enjoying holidays in the Spanish region will be able to have a go themselves.

From expert anglers to first-time fishermen, there are opportunities to suit all abilities, many of which are completely free.

According to Alicante-City-Insiders-Guide.com, several fishing spots can be found along the Costa Blanca.

All holiday makers need to cast out in these areas is permission from relevant authorities, and of course some fishing equipment.

The Embalse del Amadorio is a clean fishery with low water levels near Benidorm. Here, tourists can catch small to mid-sized carp.

Further south towards Torrevieja is La Gola, where mullet, sea bass, gilthead, palometa and tuna are the catch of the day.

For some sea fishing from the beach, holiday makers could head to the Playa de San Juan, which is a sandy beach next to Alicante.

Or for those who fancy a trip inland, there is the Pantano de Beniarres, a carp fishery located in a mountainous area offering great scenery.

Of course those hoping to visit all of these fishing hotspots will have to hire a car to reach them, but those renting Costa Blanca villas in La Nucia will be in a great central location, so travelling around will be easy.
